Aspects of Dentistry

My patients often ask me, what aspect of dentistry do you enjoy the most? This question is always difficult to answer because I cannot pinpoint just one thing that I love about the profession. An aspect I find both challenging and rewarding would definitely be treatment planning. When a patient comes to see me, they always require a comprehensive treatment plan based on many factors such as periodontal, restorative, orthodontic and cosmetic reasons. Each plan is tailored to the individual patient’s needs and requires a careful sequential series. The treatment plan can be as simple as regular check ups and cleanings or as complicated as a full mouth rehabilitation. I enjoy the challenge and considering what would be the best solution for this patient.
